Announcements and Pastoral Prayer

This Sunday we will have our annual Easter Mission Offering. The goal is to raise $5,000 for missions. If you would like to contribute to the offering but are not yet comfortable to return to in-person worship, please mail your offering to Bob Pickering at his home address. Please do not mail cash.

We will be having an all church meeting Sunday, April 11, to discuss possible changes in our participation with the denomination. Please contact Pastor Dave or your deacon with questions.

COVID Instructions for In-Person Worship

  1. We will be worshiping in the Fellowship Hall so we can social distance.
  2. We have the chairs measured out to maintain social distancing, please do not move them. We have chairs in pairs and singles.
  3. We will be wearing masks in the sanctuary. If you have one please bring it. If not we will provide one.
  4. I know we are a close knit community of believers, but for the time being, please refrain from handshaking and hugging.
  5. I know these rules may seem restrictive, but we feel they are important steps to take, so that we can return to a more normal form of worship sooner and to protect the health of the people we love.

Scripture Reading
Mark 16:1-7

When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body.Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”
